Tide ASA
Tide ASA is one of Norways largest operators of public transport on sea and land. The company has appr. 3700 employees. Tide has its deepest roots in Western Norway (Hordaland and Rogaland). The first activities within coastal sea transportation began i 1855.
Tide has approximately 1000 buses and 80 ferries/ express boats. From its base in Western Norway, the company aims to expand nationally and to other Nordic countries. Tide now also operates public bus services in the city of Odense in Denmark.
The company and brandname of Tide became a reality in November 2006, when the companies HSD and Gaia Trafikk merged their activities. In June 2007 the company Stavangerske was also integrated into the Tide group, thus making the country's largest combined bus, ferry, expressboat and travel enterprise, consisting of Tide Buss (public bus transport), Tide Sjø (car/passenger ferries and express boats), Tide Reiser (travel adventures and rental) and Tide Verksted (garage & repair).
The Tide ASA headquarters are located in Bergen, the second largest city in Norway.
